Christmas Time

2008 was a wonderful year. Filled with big changes and big fun. I had the privilege of traveling with Mark for a couple of months and loved every minute of it. I'm so glad I got the opportunity to really see what Mark does and what a hard worker he is and what a great guy I have! Christmas was great, I was very lucky to get to spend it with Mark and family. A little sad he had to leave so soon afterwards but can't wait till he gets a break so we can spend some time together. All in all 2008 was a great year and I'm ready for 2009!

Shannon and Andy's Wedding

My good friend Shannon got married right before Christmas on Decemeber 20th. She had a beautiful day with lots of sunshine. Her wedding was absolutely gorgeous. She was a beautiful bride and did an awesome job putting together her wedding. It was a blast!

Photo Shoot

I am finally off the road and back in good old Traverse City, MI. Boy is it a shock to the body! I went from 83 and sunny to 9 and depressing. I actually love the snow, its just a little hard to get used to. I had a wonderful time on the road with Mark and can't wait till he's off for Christmas break!

It was so good to see my doggy Lucas. I missed him so much! I think he was a little upset I left him for so long because he body slammed me when I walked through the front door! Then he gave me a hug and we were good. :)

Lucas and took some pictures this week for our Christmas card we are sending out. My mom got a Santa hat for Lucas to wear in our pictures...he was not too thrilled. You will be able to see that in the photos. Some of them were so funny I couldn't stop laughing. I couldn't put them all up but I here are a few of them!

HAHAHA...I love this picture! I could not stop laughing. I look super happy and I don't even have words for how Lucas looks. (I also love how the deer managed to make it in the picture)

Lucas is thinking "ok mom, I think the hat is a little much"

Awww, what a cutie!

Someones not liking his picture taken...haha

San Diego's Wild Animal Park!!!

It's hard to believe it's been a year since Mark and I met. Thanks to our aunts, we have enjoyed a wonderful year together. On Sunday Mark and I went to San Diego's Wild Animal Park. It was awesome! We took a safari tour where we got to get up close and personal with the animals. My favorite was probably the meerkat's and the gorillas. They were both a bunch of characters. All in all it was a great day!

Veterans Day in San Diego

To celebrate Veterans Day, Mark and I drove down to San Diego and went to the Veterans Museum. We had a blast exploring San Diego. It was nice Mark had the day off. The Museum was a real neat experience. There were men and women of all ages that served that were there. There was this one man there that served in World War II. He was crying looking at pictures of what he went through. He said it was the best time of his life. Now, I know that sounds weird. It did to me at first. But when he explain, he said it was a great honor to protect the country he loved so much. I wish there were more people like him in this country.

Me standing on San Diego!

Mark finally let me take a picture of him :)

Driving into San Diego...

Can anyone guess where Mark and I are standing?

Carlsbad Beach-Surfers!!!

The beach here in Carlsbad CA is absolutely beautiful. I feel like I walked into a movie sometimes. You can defiantly tell I am not from here. In any case I have loved being here and will miss it when we leave. I went to the beach and took some pictures of people surfing...wow!...It was really neat to watch. I don't think I'm going to try surfing anytime soon, but it sure is fun to watch.

This picture doesn't do the waves justice...they were really big!

Halloween!

Halloween for me this year was very laid back. It was the first time in years where I didn't have to dress up, whoo! On Friday, Mark, Dan, Little Pete and I went out to Joe's Crab Shack to celebrate Halloween. The guys worked really hard all week and wanted to treat themselves to some seafood. We had a blast. Dan and Mark ordered a big bucket of food so they had to wear a bib. hahaha, they looked very funny. Little Pete and I enjoyed that we did not have to wear those big bibs. All in all we had a great time.

California Sunsets

On Sunday Mark and I took a walk down to the beach to see the sunset. It's hot here during the day, but it sure cools off at night. The beach was packed with people, I guess we weren't the only ones wanting to see the sunset. We met a nice man that we talked to for a while then he offered to take our picture. I love this first one because he probably took about 2 minutes to take the picture then he cut off Mark's head. haha I guess he thought Mark was too tall, and his forehead didn't need to be in the picture. Mark said he liked that he liked it, "that way you can't see my reseeding hairline." haha, he cracks me up.

People were swimming...burrr, too cold for me!

Disneyland!!!

On Saturday Mark and I met some friends at Disneyland. They are friends Mark met when he was working in Seattle last year. Mark gave Robert a call Thursday why we were driving to see how he was doing, since he hadn't talked to him in while. Robert asked Mark what he was up to and Mark told him we were driving to California for his next job. Robert said hey I'll be there tomorrow. So, in short, we just happen to be in the same place at the same time and decided to meet up. Good thing Mark called him! It was my first time meeting Robert and his wife Pam, they were wonderful people, very nice. We all had a great time riding rides, watching the firework show and walking through the shops.

Mark and I in front of Cinderella's castle.

Outside the park...we got there about 4:30pm and stayed until 11:00pm. I was pooped! I don't know how people stay there all day!

Mickey!

Train Ride...it was so much fun. I was laughing the whole time, Mark looked a little scared.

Robert & Pam...you can tell we all look a little tired.

Fireworks!

I don't know if you can see it but that green blob on the left hand side is Tinkerbell flying through the air.
