Lucas enjoying the summer

I had to take a little summertime photo shoot of Lucas. He was looking so cute playing around in the yard. He LOVES being outside and lucky for him my dad is outside a lot and he gets to go out and play with him.

Smile Lucas...

Enjoying Father's Day with the Beach Bums...

Wow, it has been awhile since my last post. Not sure if anyone is still reading this, haha. This past winter was a pretty slow one for me. I didn't do anything really exciting. I was busy with school and work and that's not very fun to write about. So I hope to be better at keeping up with my blog now.

I am happy to report that this past semester I got a 4.0!!!!!! I was very happy about that. Hopefully I can keep up the good marks. This summer I am taking a math and Chemistry class and both are challenging. If anyone is good at either one let me know I could probably use your help. :)

For Father's Day I took my dad to go see the Beach Bums and we had a great time. I even ended up winning $25.00 to Outback!

My dad was very excited about his father's day gift :)

A Fun Surprise

I can't believe it's March already! Time is flying by, but I am ok with that. Am I ever ready for Spring! Last night I drove back from visiting Mark in Wisconsin and got stuck in a winter storm. It took me 10 and a half hours to make it back to Traverse City, not my idea of a good time. I had pretty good roads until Big Rapids and what should normally take me 1 hour and 20 min took me 3 1/2 hours. Boy was I tired, I didn't get home until 12:30 am and then I got stuck trying to get in the driveway. So I woke up my parents and the three of us shoved my car out. IT took about 45 min, but we finally got it out!

That leads me to my other exciting news, well exciting for me. Friday I went to class and when I got out at noon Mark gave me a call and said that Micheal's (the company he work's for) wasn't flying him out until Sunday! They flew him in for just 2 days Wednesday-Friday and I didn't think I was going to be able to see him because of school. So when he said he was going to be there for 2 more days, I ran home, packed my things and I was off to Wisconsin. I was so excited the whole drive I was singing and dancing, I got a couple of funny looks. I hadn't seen Mark since Jan. 5th and that was only for a day so needless to say I was more than excited to see him, and it just happened to be his birthday weekend so that worked out great! I almost didn't know who he was at first, he has lost about 15 pounds. He looks great! He said he wanted to ring in 30 healthy, I thought that sounded like a great idea. :)

Mark and I had such a great weekend it was so much fun, and we also got to see our friends Shannon and Andy and their new little member of the family Rusty, a Jack Russell Terrier. Which I might add is rather cute! It was good to see them and hopefully some day Mark and I will move back to Madison so we will be able to see all of our friends more often.

I have been subbing at The Dance Center for the past couple of weeks and am enjoying it. It's nice to be dancing and teaching again. I will be teaching there this summer and this fall as well. I have just landed a job at Kmart, yay! When I was little I told my mom when I grew up I wanted to be cashier. haha, dreams really do come true! Ok so its not my dream job anymore but I am so excited to be working again. I know that sounds crazy but when you don't have an income, it kind of stinks. And I feel very blessed to just have job in Michigan's economy. So this summer I will be busy working and going to school, and hopefully getting a place of my own. So if anyone wants to come visit beautiful Traverse City this summer let me know!

A life update

Hi everyone, if anyone is still following my blog. haha Sorry I have not updated since Christmas time, but there just hasn't been too much going on in my life right now. Well, nothing to take a picture over. I have been busy in school. I am happy to report that so far so good, A's in both of my classes. When I'm not in school or studying I have been subbing in the Traverse City Schools until I can find a full time job. Wow, the economy sure makes a difference when looking for a job. I have had a really hard time, but I feel a job coming to me any day now!

Mark has been busy working in Arkansas. I don't think its his favorite place in the world. I know he is ready for a break! And I am ready for him to have a break too! Hopefully over Spring Break we will get some time together. :)

Lucas is doing well, very busy. His days are filled with naps, walks, playing with his toys and some more naps. In fact his days sound pretty good.

Moving to Traverse City has been kind of hard. I really enjoy school, I have great teachers, and I am getting a good education. I just really miss Madison and all my friends there. I'm sure once summer hits, there will be more to do here and I'll get to hang out with my friends here a little more. The part of coming back to Traverse City I like, is I have found a great church to attend. I feel right at home there and everyone is so nice. I am going to a retreat this Saturday, should be fun, I'm excited.

So hopefully soon I will have more exciting stuff on my blog!

Christmas Time

2008 was a wonderful year. Filled with big changes and big fun. I had the privilege of traveling with Mark for a couple of months and loved every minute of it. I'm so glad I got the opportunity to really see what Mark does and what a hard worker he is and what a great guy I have! Christmas was great, I was very lucky to get to spend it with Mark and family. A little sad he had to leave so soon afterwards but can't wait till he gets a break so we can spend some time together. All in all 2008 was a great year and I'm ready for 2009!

Shannon and Andy's Wedding

My good friend Shannon got married right before Christmas on Decemeber 20th. She had a beautiful day with lots of sunshine. Her wedding was absolutely gorgeous. She was a beautiful bride and did an awesome job putting together her wedding. It was a blast!

Photo Shoot

I am finally off the road and back in good old Traverse City, MI. Boy is it a shock to the body! I went from 83 and sunny to 9 and depressing. I actually love the snow, its just a little hard to get used to. I had a wonderful time on the road with Mark and can't wait till he's off for Christmas break!

It was so good to see my doggy Lucas. I missed him so much! I think he was a little upset I left him for so long because he body slammed me when I walked through the front door! Then he gave me a hug and we were good. :)

Lucas and took some pictures this week for our Christmas card we are sending out. My mom got a Santa hat for Lucas to wear in our pictures...he was not too thrilled. You will be able to see that in the photos. Some of them were so funny I couldn't stop laughing. I couldn't put them all up but I here are a few of them!

HAHAHA...I love this picture! I could not stop laughing. I look super happy and I don't even have words for how Lucas looks. (I also love how the deer managed to make it in the picture)

Lucas is thinking "ok mom, I think the hat is a little much"

Awww, what a cutie!

Someones not liking his picture taken...haha
